Irwin Cotler, hate speech, and Bill C-304. Part one.

A little while back, in the comments to this post, regular commenter Paul suggested that I should try to get an interview with Mount Royal Liberal MP Irwin Cotler - whose interest in combating hate speech and anti-semitism has been a fixture of his career, as far as I can tell - about his thoughts on Brian Storseth's private member's motion to strike Section 13(1) from the Canadian Human Rights Act ( Bill C-304 ).

This seemed like a good idea, and I intend to do so when I can. But I thought I'd start by going over a few things first. To start with, here is Irwin Cotler's recent speech for the Free Thinking Film Festival on the film "Unmasked: Judeophobia and the Threat to Civilization," which was screened at that event.

More to come.
