Sigh...yet more from the Ministry of Children and Family Development

I'm coming to this bit of news relatively late, but I still felt like sharing it with you, dear reader. Via Public Eye Online:
Last week, the legislature's select standing committee on children and youth met in Vancouver to hear six presentations on the province's child poverty crisis. But don't expect its member to do anything more about the problem.

Read all about it here. More here.

MCFD causes a great deal of pain and trauma, while pretending to protect children. Children belong with their families not in foster housing. If you want to know what kind of people really work at MCFD, check out this blog:

There are many, many more families who have been destroyed, or almost destroyed, just like the Baynes.

Government needs to either butt out, or actually help families, instead of ripping them apart. And no, I'm not some welfare parent who had their kids stolen, I just don't like the way things are becoming more Orwellian all the time.

Well said, Anon.

I think I'm in the same boat. I just don't like how the MCFD operates - I think they could do much, much, much, much better. I don't think I'm alone in this.
